The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) is proud to present an annual, countywide awards program celebrating the exceptional individuals who make a difference in our schools every day. From dedicated classroom educators to essential non-instructional staff, this program recognizes outstanding contributors across all 12 public school districts in Chester County and the CCIU, honoring the talent, commitment, and passion that shape the future of our students and communities.
Service Eligibility
Eligible nominees may include, but are not limited to, paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, custodial and maintenance staff, food service workers, transportation staff, and other classified support personnel. Nominees must demonstrate exceptional dedication, professionalism, and a positive impact on the school community, whether through their service to students, staff, families, or the broader school environment.
Non-Instructional Employee Nominees must have been actively employed in a Chester County public school district in a non-instructional capacity for a minimum of one year at the time of nomination. Employees who have retired may still be considered eligible, provided their official retirement date falls no more than one year prior to the award year. For the purposes of this award, a non-instructional employee is defined as any full-time or part-time support staff member whose primary responsibilities do not include direct instruction of students. Eligible nominees may include, but are not limited to, paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, custodial and maintenance staff, food service workers, transportation staff, and other classified support personnel. Nominees must demonstrate exceptional dedication, professionalism, and a positive impact on the school community, whether through their service to students, staff, families, or the broader school environment.
